Call of Duty: WW2

Rumors about the new Call of Duty: WW2 have been circulating for weeks. As the name suggests, the latest offshoot of the series is set to take place in World War II. Thus, the series would go back to the roots and use the real events of the story as a story, similar to Battlefield 1. Retro in shooters seems to be the latest craze.

In the meantime there are new hints that put the fans in pure ecstasy and thus raise their hopes for an early announcement. As part of the Game scoop show On YouTube, some IGN editors talked about some cool news this weekend. There's even supposed to be something great next week. However, the moderators of the show have not revealed any further details. But the few words were enough to spark a new wave of speculation.

Not only the NeoGaf users are already extremely excited, Kotaku editor Jason Schreier is also involved in the discussion.

He posted a tip via Twitter. So it could be a game with the first letter "C" and the end "all of Duty: WW2".

Rumors surrounding the announcement of Call of Duty: WW2 are not absurd

Although the discussions surrounding Call of Duty: WW2 are based on pure speculation, they are not as far-fetched as some might think. The timeframe for an announcement of the latest part of the series would more than fit. In the past, Activision always chose spring as the time for a Call of Duty part. The release then took place in the autumn of the same year.

That the setting of the shooter takes place in World War II seems to be certain already. Because this small detail has already been confirmed by the well-known insider Shinobi602. This is considered a source of wisdom in gamer circles when it comes to new releases and game content.

Whether these rumors about Call of, however, are true, we will ultimately see when publisher Activision speaks up and puts an end to the tremors and fears.

We will of course keep you up to date.
