With the Midwinter hunt takes place from December 19th to January 9th, the third holiday event in GWENT instead of. Players can earn rewards for successfully completing tasks, including avatars, frames and a title.

The 3 scenarios, which are available in 2 levels of difficulty, tell the story of Geralt, the bounty hunter Djenge Frett and a dragon hunt, which then ends very differently than expected.

The tactics for the scenarios are small puzzle where you have to play the cards in the correct order, there are also different conditions for winning. For example in the second challenge fire and Ice, it's about the Kite to catch and not just have more points than your opponent.

We have prepared a little guide for you with a successful tactic. Of course there are different ways to meet the challenge, so feel free to try different other ideas. The methods below have all been tested several times in expert mode and should of course also work in standard mode. There is for example Fire & ice through the North wind Map even easier.

GWENT - Dangerous Passage

1. Clan greatsword (melee series).
2. Swallow on the clan greatsword.
3. Swallow on the clan greatsword for the second time.
4. Clan greatsword (melee series).
5. Geralt: Igni on the 3 ice giants.
6. Clan archer on the Melee row (if there are no opponents you have to damage your own units).
7. Play Djenge Frett on the Melee series.
8. Here you can either pass or play the last archer.

GWENT - fire and ice

1. Frost on the phoenix's row.
2. Discard your clan brigands for 3 turns. (Just drag it out of your hand to the cemetery on the right).
3. Play as a Freya priestess, revive a clan brigand from the cemetery and use it to aim at the phoenix.
4. Play as a Freya priestess, revive a clan brigand from the cemetery and use it to aim at the phoenix.
5. Use diversionary maneuvers on a Freya priestess.
6. Play the Freya priestess again, revive a clan brigand from the cemetery and aim it at the phoenix.
7. Play Djenge Frett to capture the phoenix.

GWENT - Unexpected Ally

1. Reinforce the phoenix with a swallow.
2. Play Geralt and choose Geralt: Aard. Damages any opponent with it.
3. Reinforce the phoenix with a swallow.
4. Play Geralt and choose Geralt: Aard. Damages any opponent with it.
5. Reinforce the phoenix with a swallow.
6. Play Geralt and choose Geralt: Aard. Damages any opponent with it.
7. Play the mandrake root and choose liqueur. Use it to strengthen the phoenix.
8. Play Geralt and choose Geralt: Aard. Damages any opponent with it. Victory!
