Fortnite - Season 3 Battle Pass with new items

Fortnite

The 2nd season of Fortnite ends soon and the developers present the Battle Pass for the following, third season. The Battle Pass serves to unlock exclusive loot and offers a progress system with which you can unlock further rewards.

Buying the Battle Pass costs V-Bucks, the virtual currency from Epicgames. This is either earned with missions in Fortnite PvE mode "Save the World" or can be bought for real money. After the purchase you have the new Season 3 Battle Pass 100 steps which you unlock by playing and receive your rewards. As a package there is the Battle Pass for 2800 V-Bucks and you get 25 levels for free (approx. 40% discount). It costs 950 V-Bucks individually.

The developers specify between 75 and 150 hours of playtime as the time frame for unlocking all levels. If you don't have that much time, you can also buy additional levels for 150 V-Bucks each.

If you don't long for the 350 V-Bucks you get for missions per week, you can purchase them in the store for € 9.99 per 1000 V-Bucks.

A new feature are the weekly challenges:

Play at your own pace!

By completing weekly challenges, new levels can be reached even faster. A new set of seven challenges is unlocked each week, replacing the Season 2 Daily Challenges. Weekly challenges pile up and can be completed anytime before the season ends. So if the Battle Pass is purchased in the middle of the season, access to the previous challenges will be retained. To unlock the rewards, four of the seven weekly challenges can be completed. So choose what best suits your play style!

Even if there are 30 more levels this time, the boosters should take about as long to unlock everything as in season 2.

“I want everything right now. Won't it cost me more to buy everything when there are more levels in Season 3?

Yes it does. There are 70 items for the first 70 levels, just like last season. There is more loot for the additional 30 tiers in Season 3 than before. We designed the boosts and challenges so that the 100 levels of Season 3 can be completed in the same time as the 70 levels of Season 2. "
