The genre of survival games often grows strange, some representatives have been in Early Access for years without a release date. At E3 there was finally a release date for Ark: Survival Evolved, on August 8th the time has come. In addition to this good news, the game is also making negative headlines at the moment, the price on Steam more than doubled. Up to now, Early Access has cost an average of € 24 - € 29, and in the Steam Sale it was even significantly cheaper. As of today, the price tag is € 69.69, € 76.48 for the bundle with the first expansion.
The Scorched Earth expansion was released during the Early Access phase and cost money. At the time, the community wasn't exactly euphoric about paying extra for additional content while the game itself was still in development. Suggestions to finish the game first instead of investing development time in chargeable expansions were not uncommon.

Even without plunging into a discussion about the value of computer games, one has to mention that € 69.69 is the upper limit of the price spiral. Brand new top titles are usually only located at 59.99 €. So you should really think twice about whether it is worth the price, especially if you buy the extension directly.
Ark: Survival Evolved - The backstory
Ark: Suvival Evolved is in Suvival online game in which you have to survive together with other survivors in a primeval world. The whole thing is loosened up with dinosaurs, house building, weapons & armaments production up to alien artifacts. If you initially run around with sharp branches as a weapon, you gradually develop better weapons and even tame dinosaurs as mounts or as pets.
The game has already sold millions of times, whether and how the success story will continue after this price change remains to be seen
