The Dark Souls 3 developers From Software today announced a free update with two new arena maps. The update will be available on March 24th, before the DLC - The Ringed City, which will be released on March 28th.
The update gives you access to two new PvP arenas: Dragon Ruins and Grand Roof.
A feature long awaited by the community will also be built in, with a password system you can go into PvP with your friends. You will then compete against other teams who have also registered together with a password.
New battle locations for Dark Souls 3
The first arena: Dragon Ruins draws its inspiration from the Dragon Peak zone. A small You can find a video with first insights on the official YouTube channel.
The second arena: Grand Roof plays, how could it be otherwise, on the roof of the Grand Archives. Anyone who remembers the attack by the 3 Winged Knights will find the area familiar. As Kimmundi, the Bandai-Namco Community Manager revealed on Reddit, there are unfortunately no ladders so that you cannot climb to the top. But that certainly ensures more action and avoids "encountering" a huge two-handed sword and falling while climbing up.
Of course there is also one for this Video with impressions.
The patch will be available to owners of the Season Pass or the first Ashes of Ariandel DLC from March 24th. If you have only pre-ordered the 2nd DLC The Ringed City so far, you have to wait until its release, as the PvP arenas are a feature of the DLCs.
The second and final DLC Dark Souls 3: The Ringed City will be released on March 28 for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. In addition, a Game of the Year Edition with the main game and both expansions has been announced for April 21st.
