Accordingly, the remastered version would be released on May 24th.
The whole thing has not been officially confirmed or denied and maybe it's just a fancy joke, but the fan base is enthusiastic. Many fans hope for a contemporary version of the cult game with the technical possibilities of the PS4 console generation.
Whether a possible Remastered Version also appears for the other platforms such as Xbox or PC is unclear.
There is also no further information about a new edition of Demon Souls, the PS3 exclusive predecessor of Dark Souls. Together with the first rumors, it was said that Demon Souls should also be released for the PS4.
The Dark Souls makers are working on a new project
The From Software team is almost certainly not involved in the new editions, because here is the new title Shadows Die Twice on the program. So far there has only been a very dark short video of this and the development should therefore be in full swing. That's why the chances of extensive changes to Dark Souls, as some fans are hoping for, are rather bad. The creative mind behind the series, Hidetaka Miyazaki, would not give up a possible renewal and "completion" of areas like Lost Izalith.
