The rumors of a remastered version of Dark Souls 1 have now been confirmed. After the initial announcement of a Nintendo Switch version, shortly afterwards there was confirmation Dark Souls Remastered for Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
"Experience the rich world of DARK SOULS in upscaled 4K resolution with 60FPS when playing on a PlayStation 4 Pro system, Xbox One X, and PC. Also, 1080p resolution with 30FPS is available when playing the game on Nintendo Switch with its TV mode. "
Dark Souls in a new guise
The players can expect improvements throughout 60 FPSThe only exception here is the switch with 30 FPS and 4K resolution. When improving the frame rate, special focus is placed on known problem cases such as Blighttown placed. In the original version, Blighttown was a real nightmare and not only because of poison, darkness, spiders, mud and monsters etc. but mainly because of the FPS that reminded you of still images.
Players of the PC version did not have this particular problem, but only a fan patch ensured a better resolution and a general upgrade to 60 FPS.
However, these problems should be a thing of the past. Another feature will be the remastered version "Dedicated server" his. Which is huge news for PvP players. Up until now, Dark Souls' multiplayer connection was controlled via “peer to peer”, which often caused lag problems and made the whole system more susceptible to hackers.
This also fits the news that the new multiplayer function will support up to 6 players at the same time. Similar to in Dark Souls 3 Larger battles or co-op actions are therefore also possible.
Should appear Dark Souls Remastered already on May 25th of this year and will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox and PC.
