Had yesterday first a tweet the Diablo 3 Community in excitement Blizzard denies today. The tweet that showed a Diablo 3 light switch, i.e. a switch, was a clear sign of a Nintendo Switch version of the Action RPG for many fans. After all, the leaderboards / ladder introduction for Diablo was announced with a video in which the developers stared at a ladder. So the assumption was not quite so absurd.
Diablo 3 - Not for the Switch in the near future, at least
Denied at the request of the Polygon Online Magazine Blizzard the news tonight though.
"We can assure you we're not that clever, it was meant to be a fun community engagement piece. We have nothing to announce. "
Translated this roughly means: "We can assure you that we are not that smart (with regard to announcements), it was only intended as a concern for the fan community. We have nothing to announce. "
So at least for now, all Diablo 3 and Nintendo Switch fans can calm down again. Of course, such a statement does not mean that implementation is completely excluded.
“We have nothing to announce“Can also simply be interpreted as a PR statement that today there is nothing to be announced. Or the tweet was only intended as a test to check the possible response and interest.
Since Diablo 3 was successfully released on Xbox and PlayStation, there is hope for a Nintendo Switch version at the latest for Diablo 4, should it ever appear.
