Dungeons and Dragons

Game fans who often play a round of Dungeons & Dragons can finally look forward to virtual support from Wizards of the Coast. On the occasion of PAX East 2017, the developer announced that it would make a virtual toolset available with Dungeons & Dragons Beyond. Together with Curse, the company is working on the software, which is based on the 5th edition rules.
As early as the summer of 2017, adventurous heroes can hopefully push the mountain of paper aside and manage their characters with D&D Beyond on their PC, tablet or even smartphone.

A detailed compendium will make it much easier and faster to look up. So if you always carried the complete rule book library with you in the trunk in order to be right, you will certainly be happy about it.

The program also offers dynamic character creation in which everyone can easily create and manage their hero.

Wizards of the Coast - Don't they normally do Magic: The Gathering?

Wizards of the Coast is best known for Magic: The Gathering, invented by Richard Garfield. The developers are considered to be the inventors of the trading card game genre. Without this preparatory work, games like Hearthstone or Gwent would never have existed. Since purchasing the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons license, the studio has also been the publisher of the legendary pen & paper role-playing game system for years. Wizards of the Coast released the last version so far in 2014 with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. The rule set of the last edition will also be used in D&D Beyond.

Despite the great success of Wizards of the Coast, the company wasn't exactly known as a technology pioneer. So the Beyond announcement is an important step that will hopefully be followed by others. The commitment of Curse as a software developer also suggests good things, because applications such as the Curse client have long enjoyed great popularity.

You can find the trailer at the beginning of the article. D&D Beyond should appear in the summer, and anyone who wants to take part in the beta test can visit the Page from Wizards of the Coast Sign in.
