Far Cry 5 - Stunning replica of Montana in the game

The 5th part of the successful game series is known to take place in Montana, USA and the developers implement the area and the style of the landscape as precisely as possible. To this end, not only photos and films were studied, but hiking tours and excursions to explore the country were also undertaken. Developers and graphic designers were able to get first-hand impressions. Combining the naturalness of the landscape with small towns, streets and game-relevant places was a particular challenge.

As you can see in the video, they seem to have succeeded. Since TES V: Skyrim a gaming area rarely looked so inviting and you immediately felt the urge to explore. Strangely enough, the developers succeeded in recreating the authenticity so precisely that the testers naturally began to follow the streets. There is hardly a better proof of the reality.

Far Cry 5 is in the fictional County Hope based in Montana and revolves around a cult cult. The preacher Joseph Seed expects the collapse of civilized life and society and sees itself as the new savior. At the top of the Eden's Gate Organization Seed begins to bring the area under his control. Citizens are forced to join the cult and the connection to the outside world is prevented. The situation escalates more and more and shootings break out. The player takes on the role of Auxiliary sheriffs of Hope County and continues to seek to maintain law and order and keep the innocent citizens safe from Eden's Gate supporters.

Far Cry 5 is slated to be released for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 27, 2018.
