After the Thanksgiving holiday the Fortnite Developers are now doing the patch 1.9.1 continue. The release of 1.9.1 means the end of the nightmares event, but brings tons of new stuff to replace it.
Including the new ones Smoke grenades In Battle Royale mode: Thanks to the white smoke, you obstruct the view of your opponents and secure tactical advantages. The smoke grenade does no direct damage and can be found in all containers.
Also for the Battle Royale Mode there is the new leaderboards. There are two categories:
- Victories - Worldwide the top 50 players in the selected mode
- Points - Based on the total experience earned
The Vindestech weapons of the cover picture is available in save the world Mode and are playable in this mutant storm season. The return of the mutant storms also meant that storm chasers can earn storm tickets again in the fight against the mutant hordes.

Fortnite - Battle Royale
Gameplay
- Loot by game mode
- Duo mode: The size of findable stacks of medium ammunition has been increased from 10 to 14.
- Team mode: The size of findable stacks of medium ammunition has been increased from 10 to 18.
- These changes now affect stacks of medium ammo found outside of crates and ammo bins.
- The pumpkin head launcher has been replaced with the original rocket launcher.
- By popular demand, it is now possible to ride on missiles from the normal rocket launcher.
- The daily challenge of “surviving” no longer counts for your own team members.
Bug fixes
- Players no longer take fall damage when jumping onto a launch pad from a great height.
- Fixed an issue that resulted in the incorrect animation being displayed when using a launcher repeatedly.
- Fixed a problem with the fire and reload animations of the muted submachine gun.
- Fixed an issue that caused players to take fall damage when knocked out of Parachute mode (after using a launch pad).
- Fixed an issue with incorrect animation after being eliminated when using a launch pad.
UI
- Players will now receive confirmation before leaving a match if they have received an invite from a team member who has left the same match.
- "Gamepad" has been changed to "Wireless Controller" and "Controller" in the menus.
- Daily challenges no longer automatically collect when an invite is accepted.
Bug fixes
- Some localization errors in the season shop have been fixed.
- "Rich Presence" (player status) is now localized into all languages on all platforms.
- Changing an item in your locker while the game servers are offline no longer crashes the game client.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from exiting the locker tab after canceling a submenu.
world
- Busch placements have changed all over the world.
- Bushes are no longer on different platforms in different places.
performance
- Loading additional items during the loading screen instead of in the middle of the game reduces stuttering.
On-line
- The “Invite” button in the group search can only be pressed every 2 seconds to prevent accidental multiple invitations.
General
Xbox
- Black artifacts that appeared while sprinting on Xbox One have been removed.
- Fixed an issue that prevented players from being able to sign in after quickly signing in and out of their Xbox One Live account in-game.
PlayStation 4
- If a friend was unable to join a group, they will no longer appear in the group via PS4 profile and friend status.

Mutant storms
- The Fortnite: Nightmares event has ended and Mutant Storms are back!
- For every 500 Halloween tickets that have not been issued, you will receive a Halloween Llama via the booty tab.
- Face the storm and earn tickets in missions up to 10 times a day.
- New event quests specially tailored to the Mutant Storms have been added.
Vindestech weapons
- Pulsar - precise volley assault rifle.
- Salver - Pistol that fires powerful volleys of 3 rounds.
- Fackler - rapid-fire submachine gun.
- Shredder - Shotgun that fires plasma bullets.
- Fernshocker - energy sniper rifle.
- Spotlight - powerful, heavy pistol with telescope.
- Balancing hammer - high-speed rocket bat.
- Chopper - Light energy ax with fast attack speed.
- Slicer - Medium energy sword.
- Players can obtain these weapons as loot through Event Missions and Llamas.
- The number of storm tickets from the mutant storms is now consistent across all fields of the same difficulty level.
- Zapper pistol projectiles no longer take over the speed of the character carrying them.
- This weapon is now more reliable and accurate.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where some green spaces were no longer granting XP.
UI
- Rocket bat descriptions are now consistent across all tiers.
- The controller navigation in the options menu has been improved.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where ninja icons would appear small.
stability
- Fixed a rare crash that could occur when closing the game.
