in the Battle Royale there is the new weapon Double pistols and the time-limited mode "Playground". On the playground you can reach huge monuments with your friends without stress and then fight with them for fun.

This is also only for a short time "Final battle with teams of 12" available. The eye of the storm doesn't shrink any further towards the end of the game, but a countdown starts. At the end of this, the team with the most survivors is declared the winner.

On the "Save the world" This week, players can expect the 4th and final chapter of the blockbuster series. Then there are the new ones Heroes Stars and Stripes Jonesy and Headhunter. These will be unlocked for you after successfully completing the "Independence Day" quest.

Fortnite - Patch V.4.5

Fortnite - General

  • Celebrate the beginning of summer with the fireworks thrower. This seasonal item replaces the grenade launcher for a while and sets off fireworks. (Change is only visual.)
  • Blocks removed in edit mode are now opaque instead of clear. The colors blue, white and red continue to indicate the construction status.
    • This change is to prevent players from simply looking through buildings while editing.
  • Keyboard layouts for Save the World and Battle Royale have been separated. The settings in one mode do not affect those in the other mode.
  • The key used to reroll a daily mission or challenge has been changed. This is now mapped to the button for "Replace Job" instead of the button for "Cancel Job" to make it more obvious.

Missions and Systems

  • Blockbuster Part 4: The Finale Is Now Available!
    • Complete the quest chain and choose the shadow agent.
  • Heroes, trap sketches, and weapon sketches can now be created directly from the collection via recruitment and research.
    • Select the item in the collection that you want to create. This can be an item that you do not already own or that you have already collected.
    • If you can craft the item, a "Recruit" or "Research" button will appear.
    • Event items, survivors and defenders can NOT be purchased through this feature.
    • To craft you will need power sources and either training manuals, weapon designs, or trap designs.
    • The crafted item is level 1 and the sketches have random benefits.
  • Items can now be removed from a slot in the collection for 20 V-Bucks.
    • This will give you back the item that was in the slot - with the same level and the same benefits.
    • You will lose the Collection XP you received from the item, but the level of your Collection will not change and you will also keep any rewards that you have earned so far.
    • However, you have to repay this XP debt before you can further increase the level of the collection.
  • There is a new quest called Independence Day that will give players two Independence-themed soldiers. This assignment is part of Blockbuster Part 4.
    • Stars and Stripes Jonesy *.
    • Stars and Stripes Headhunters *.
  • * Hats and backpacks are not included in this patch, but will be delivered in an upcoming patch. Players who own these heroes will automatically receive the appropriate hats and backpacks upon release - at the appropriate and customary advancement levels.
  • Reward rolls in group missions now work differently. Players therefore get more from a single resource:
    • These contracts originally gave gold and a standard amount of 4 different types of resources.
    • Players now receive gold and four times the amount of resources of a single type.
    • This allows players to better acquire certain resources that they still need.
    • For missions containing VORTEIL-FIX and VORTEIL-PLUS, the rewards can still be split between different types of perk-up resources.
  • The chance for mini-llamas to be upgraded has been increased.

    • Maintains accuracy even when moving and shooting from the hip. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for combat at short range and without rigid positions.
  • The crackling campfire now heals through walls as long as the player is within range.
  • The maximum amount of ammunition for light cartridges, medium cartridges as well as for shot shells and bullets has been increased.
    • Easily from 5,000 to 6,000
    • Mean from 3,000 to 4,000
    • Shot from 1,000 to 1,200

    • The super shield clings to other enemies like a normal shield, but has a significantly larger shield radius and protects all enemies within the dome.
    • The super shield itself is also protected by the shield!
    • Within the shield, opponents can be attacked as normal.
  • Builder Pro Controller Scheme is now available for Save the World.
    • This controller layout is consistent with the Builder Pro scheme from Battle Royale.

  • The “Automatically open doors” option now also affects doors in Save the World.
  • Loot from enemies for specialized grenade items (pulse grenades, pocket fortresses, etc.) has been adjusted so that new players do not encounter these items in the tutorial.
    • Most of these items appear about halfway through Steinwald.
    • The pocket fortress is available towards the end of Steinwald.

Bug fixes

  • The build quick bar remains in focus after entering the menu and reassigning weapons in build mode.
  • The teleporter can no longer be placed under Lars' van in the "Ride the Lightning" job.
  • Fixed a bug where a gadget or hero ability would be canceled because the button for “Harvest Tool On / Off” or “Next / Previous Weapon” was pressed.
    • Previously, this caused the button to work as if the particular gadget or ability was not selected. For example, if you had the pickaxe selected and then wanted to use the TEDDY placement tool, pressing the Harvest Tool On / Off button would cause the player to select their last weapon rather than their pickaxe. The pickaxe is now properly equipped.

user interface

  • The “HUD size” option now also applies to the HUD in Save the World.
  • Players can select any node on the mission cards to view details and rewards.
