A big GWENT tournament has been announced for the upcoming gamescom developer CD Projekt RED. A total of $ 25,000 in prize money will be shared among the lucky winners.

The matches will be played during gamescom on August 25 (preliminary round) and August 26 (final) at the GWENT booth. This is located in Hall 8, Stand B021, where the latest game content will of course also be presented.

GWENT - 8 players battle it out for $ 25,000

A total of 8 players will compete and fight for the GWENT champion's crown. Anyone can actually qualify via the ranking list for the current season. The players in the first 7 ranks on the cut-off date, August 1st at 4pm, are qualified for the gamescom tournament. An eighth competitor will be determined by the wildcard qualification round. This round will take place one day before the start of the tournament, on August 24th, at the CD Projekt RED booth.

On this occasion the developers of CD Projekt Red will present their comprehensive plans for a GWENT eSports scene. For full details and conditions of participation there is an official page where you can also register. All that is required is access to the public beta and a minimum age of 13 years.

Gamescom is one of the world's largest trade fairs for computers and video games and takes place every year in Cologne. In 2017, Chancellor Merkel will open the fair, which will take place on Wednesday, August 23. until Saturday, August 26th is accessible to private visitors. On 8/22 the fair is only open to trade visitors and the media.
