In a message to fans and players, the developers of GWENT: The Witcher Card Game the start of the Profilist season (Pro Ladder) planned for September 1st has been postponed.
GWENT - The eSports scene will start shortly
Due to some last-minute changes, such as the community-inspired adjustment for the ranking in a season, CD Projekt Red decided to take this measure. Some updates are necessary so that the highest achieved rank, which counts for the placement in the season, is displayed accurately. Since the first Profilist season should be as perfect as possible from the start, the start will be postponed until the functions are correctly implemented.
In addition, with the last update on August 29th (our report from August 19) a lot of balance changes have come that can be tested before the first season. The complete German patch notes for the patch can be found here.

Including new cards and the change that golden cards are no longer immune to damage or card abilities and much more.
Of course, the developers, who are thoroughbred gamers themselves, are not happy about the postponement, but still think it is the right decision. GWENT's start into the eSports scene should go as smoothly as possible. Unfortunately there is no exact date yet, but as soon as there is news you can find it here or on the GWENT social media platforms.
To bridge the waiting time there was the 10 year old birthday The Witcher Game series a little video with Geralt, which you can find at the beginning of the article.
