Somewhat different and surprising Hearthstone Message reached us tonight. Ben Brode leaves the Hearthstone team and Blizzard. As Brode announced in a farewell posting on the American forums, he is taking his hat off after 15 years at Blizzard.
The reason for this is, according to him, the great opportunity to create something of your own and to be closer to practical work with a newly founded company.
Today is my last day at Blizzard. ???? Thank you for all the laughter and fun we shared. I will miss you.https://t.co/YKfNpg6WUs

Ben Brode has been with Blizzard since he was 20, that is 15 years ago; he was part of the for the last 10 years Hearthstone developer teams "Team 5". In recent years, he has become the face of Hearthstone and his refreshing manner has often made the community laugh at nerfs. Due to the high level of activity in forums such as Reddit and on social media platforms, most Hearthstone fans now associate Brode with the game. Similar to Chris Metzen has long been the figurehead for Blizzard.
The face of the Hearthstone team
He himself always and especially emphasized in his farewell message that the team consists of over 80 people. And these designers, graphic artists and developers are the ones who develop the maps, missions, quests, expansions etc. Bread In the last few years I was more concerned with making decisions and PR than with the direct design process. This is also one of the reasons he gives for his departure, the chance to become more active in a new, smaller company and to create things,
"I am very fortunate to be able to take a crazy risk right now in my life, and I'm excited to be scrappy and a little scared. I'm going to help start a new company. We'll probably make games, but we haven't figured anything else out yet. I'm looking forward to designing, programming, and actually creating things again. I'm going to miss the on-campus Starbucks, though. Dang. "
At the beginning of the article we added the live stream of Ben Brode together with Day [9] for the publication of the last Hexenwald maps.
