Kobolds & Catacombs is coming up and Hearthstone Designer Peter Whalen explains the new magic stone cards in a video.

In addition to new features such as recruiting or the legendary weapons for all classes, Kobolds & Catacombs also brings us the magic stone. As with weapons, each class has its own special stone.

The special thing about these cards is the ability to reinforce them. If certain conditions are met while holding the magic stones in hand, such as X overloaded crystals, the effect is upgraded.

Hearthstone - upgradeable stones

Little magic jasper -

  • First level: Deals 2 damage to a servant (get 3 armor to upgrade)
  • Second level: Deals 4 damage to a servant (get 3 armor to upgrade)
  • Third level: Deals 6 damage to a servant
