One of the announced new features for Hearthstone are the Puzzle labs, which shortly after the publication of the Dr. Bumm's secret laboratory should appear. In a Hearthside chat with the developers, Blizzard is now giving new information about what to expect.

Similar to the treasure and monster hunts, the puzzle labs are a single player mode in which you have to fulfill certain tasks. There are different variants that can be tried out in any order, such as "Lethal" or "Survive". You have to either find the right combination of your skills to defeat the enemy, survive yourself or, for example, kill all servants.

Hearthside Chat with Giovanni Scarpati and Max Ma: Das Rätsellabor

Today Mission Designer Giovanni Scarpati and Lead UI Designer Max Ma give you an insight into the most mysterious facility from Bumm Laboratory Technology: The Riddle Laboratory!

In the puzzle lab, it is your job to help the leading scientists from Bumm Labortechnologie and their assistants to overcome stubborn hurdles in their research. Each laboratory represents one of four different types of puzzles: death zone, mirror image, tabula rasa and survival. A simple task awaits you in every laboratory - a kind of introductory puzzle to familiarize you with the experimental procedures. But every further puzzle becomes much harder! You can do the puzzle laboratories in any order. So if you get stuck, just stop by another laboratory and continue working there for a while.

If you manage to solve every single puzzle, a very special award awaits you: the Apocalypse card back!
