The release date for the new Hearthstone Extension Witch forest was announced today for April 12th. Courageous adventurers can dare to venture into the enchanted forest next week and explore the new maps.

Hearthstone - The Witch Forest

Once upon a time there was a treacherous peace between the city of Gilneas and the vast, ancient forest that looms beyond the city walls. This wild area was harsh and forbidding, but the people of Gilneas - an extraordinary people - hunted and explored fearlessly.

That was before a sinister force began to poison the heart of the forest ... before the wicked witch Hagatha cast a terrible curse!

Now a lightless haze veils the winding paths and gnarled branches reach hungrily for unsuspecting hikers. Horrified travelers tell of misshapen shadows wafting through the eerie fog. At witching hour, ghostly figures were spotted roaming through the narrow streets and fog-shrouded, cobbled streets of the city itself.

Daring travelers who venture beyond the city walls after nightfall disappear into the wilderness and never return. The Witches' Forest is not a safe place for anyone!

Many of the cards are already known, but on April 9th at 8pm there will be another big live stream with Hearthstone Game Director Ben Brode and Sean "Day [9]" Plott. One more last batch of cards is revealed. On the Hearthstone Facebook page there is a gallery of the cards presented so far.

Anyone who logs into Hearthstone after the release and before July 11th will receive a small present 3 free card packs and a legendary class card from the witch forest.
