While the graphic team of Heroes of the Storm to the Scrap desert skins polished, meanwhile the balancing team takes care of Raynor and Azmodan.
Jim Raynor, the veteran in Heroes of the Storm
As one of the oldest heroes in the Nexus, Raynor has finally earned a rehearsal. The Blizzard team explains exactly what changes have been made and why they were made:
We're thrilled to finally bring Raynor's long-awaited makeover to the Nexus! We have read and taken all of the great feedback you have sent us over the last year to heart. We built these and other ideas in or on top of them and we are now confident that these gameplay updates will do justice to the renegade Commander! With his brand new trait and a completely redesigned talent tree (which incidentally was one of the oldest in the game), he can now clear minion waves and deal instant damage much faster.
Raynor fans can experiment with tons of new tools, while more inexperienced players can still just try it out and master its basics without much difficulty. We had a lot of fun with these changes and hope that you will too. As always, please send us your feedback and get ready to pierce your opponents!
Azmodan, Lord of Hell
Here the focus is shifted a little more to the siege damage. After all, Azmodan regularly throws huge fireballs and these should also do more damage to fortifications. For this he receives a quest to collect stacks and thus to scale better and better in the game. Here is the Heroes of the Storm team's explanation of the Azmodan adjustments:
With the update for Azmodan, we wanted to highlight his current role as a siege damage expert and add a little more variety with new talent and ability options. He now has a basic stack gathering quest that is a mix of the old talents of Licking Blood and Raging Siege and Augmenting Orb of Annihilation. Regardless of whether you focus on PvE or PvP goals: As the game progresses, your sphere of annihilation will get stronger and stronger with this new addition for his Q ability.
To compensate for this increase in power, the target area of the Orb of Annihilation is now more visible to opponents, which gives them the chance to avoid their approaching end. We have also made some fundamental changes to Hell's Dark Power (now called the Sin Flood). It now only affects the bullet's damage without targeting the ground. The mechanics of Everything Will Burn have also been heavily revised. This ability should now be useful in more situations - especially if you are using Talents to enhance your E-ability. You'll also notice some minor changes to his other abilities, as well as a whole host of new talents. This gave him new options against opposing heroes without having to give up his strength as a destroyer of servant waves and buildings.
