On August 3rd, the time has come, the developers of Hollow Knight will deliver first free update with new bosses, transport system and 2 completely new songs. Hidden Dreams was due to appear in July, but fine-tuning and the search for the last few bugs took a little longer. For this, the developers announce, but also that some unexpected surprises could be built in.
Hollow Knight at Summer Games Done Quick
In the blog on their site, Team Cherry not only reports about the expansion, but also how great it was to see Hollow Knight at this year's Summer Games Done Quick charity marathon. Speedrunner Ourolon finished the game in record time in his Any % Glitchless Run. Any % = optional bosses can be left out to save time and glitchless means without taking advantage of bugs / program errors. The success of a game can often be determined by the community and especially by the mod scene. The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim and the other parts of the series would certainly never have become such cult games without the tireless mod builders. The fans put hundreds of hours of work into new content, stories, graphics, etc.
An active modder scene is now developing for Hollow Knight and the mod is an example worth seeing Lightbringer. This replaces your rusty nail with new attacks like a new blade, lances and projectiles.
