The ingenious Metroidvania game Hollow Knight gets its 3rd free DLC "Gods & Glory" with a new character and quest, new boss fights, music and the new Glorify Charms.
Hollow Knight was released on February 24, 2017 after a very successful Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter campaign also included 3 free expansions, 2 of which have been released so far: "Hidden dreams" and "The Grim Troupe"
Hollow Knights - Gods & Glory, the new features
With "Gods & Glory The third DLC follows and offers the following new features:
- New Character and Quest - The Godseeker arrives (and your romance options expand). Track down this disturbing yet alluring being, break her chains and aid her in an ancient duty.
- New Boss Fights - Hallownest's greatest warriors raise their blades. Prepare yourself for giant new boss fights against the ultimate foes. Each new battle intertwines with the Godseeker's quest. No specifics on how that'll happen, but it may not be as you expect!
- New game mode - Hollow Knight receives a third game mode. This ones have been long requested and is a classic for the genre. Complete the Gods & Glory story to unlock the new mode.
- New Music - Christopher Larkin is going all out for Hollow Knight's final free pack, with new soaring boss tracks and giant remixes of some beloved classics.
- Glorify Charms - Prove yourself and uncover a whole new depth to your charm collection.
Gods and Glory can be accessed at any point in your Hollow Knight journey. Prepare to ascend, Early 2018, free for all players!
Hollow Knight for the Switch
The somewhat vague release date spring 2018 results from the 2nd big project that the developers of Team Cherry are working on. Namely that Nintendo Switch Version of Hollow Knight. As much as the developers would like to have the third DLC ready for the release of the Switch version, there is no time for it. So "Gods & Glory" appears after Hollow Knight was released for the Switch. Of course, the DLC is just like the first two buyers of the game for Switch free.

Working on the Switch version of Hollow Knight also has advantages for PC gamers. Improvements to the code and the performance will be gradually updated via Steam and GoG for Windows / Linux / Mac Players available.
