Kingdom Come: Deliverance - release date and video

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

After long guesswork about a release date for the medieval role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the developers finally announced February 13, 2018 as the release date in a video.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come is an open world role-playing game set in the dark times of medieval Europe. Special focus is on the endless possibilities that are offered to the player. Whether you use your charm or reputation to solve crimes, everything affects the residents of the area and possibly makes them support you with your quests. The choice of whether to use diplomacy or brute force determines the reputation that precedes you.

A rich selection of weapons is available for historical battles and sieges. The path from the simple son of the village blacksmith to the world-famous hero is long and arduous.

The developers praise the combat system as a special feature. This should be realistically modeled on medieval sword fighting. The feedback from experienced swordsmen has been incorporated into the development and provides an authentic and sophisticated system.

The residents' AI must of course be particularly strong in order to breathe real life into such a world. Similar to games like Skyrim, the player has a certain reputation that is defined by his actions. Accordingly, the residents react to our appearance and report crimes to the authorities, run away screaming if you are known to be a murderer and if you have the reputation of a saint to help you.

In addition to all these small experiences and encounters, there is also a distinct background story. A civil war full of intrigue, battles and heroism is waiting for us to end.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is to appear for PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. You can find the corresponding trailer at the beginning of the article.
