Day 2 of the main round of the international League of Legends tournament MSI brought rather mixed results for the western teams.

While the European G2 esports Team ended the day with one win and one loss, the North American representatives had Team SoloMid Record 2 defeats.

The day started with the Korean team SKT T1 against Team SoloMid.

Nobody gave TSM great chances against the reigning world champions, but every fan secretly hoped for the surprise. But the reality was different and after 29 minutes and 22 kills for SKT (compared to 6 kills for TSM), the Nexus of American fan favorites fell. SKT Jungler Peanut recorded 9 kills on Lee Sin alone and remains unbeaten on this champion this season.

In Match 2, the Vietnamese provided Team Gigabyte Marines the Flash Wolves her first win.

This seemed to break the spell for the Flash Wolves and after the disappointing 2-2 on the first day, they were able to equalize to 2-2 in their second match of the day with a win against TSM. Team SoloMid was at times gold in front, but unfortunately could not convert the advantage into a victory.

The Chinese representatives of Team WE won their game against Team G2 Esports. However, they failed in their second game of the day against SKT T1. SKT was initially behind again, but was not impressed and in the end won convincingly in 33 minutes. As a 3-time world champion, SKT had enough nerve strength not to be disturbed.
