The League of Legends champion Yorick gets a new skin! This may sound like everyday news, but it is a little special.
6 years and 20 days It took a while until poor Yorik got a new skin, at that time he was released with 2 skins and then ignored by Riot for some inexplicable reason. Even with the revision of his skills last year, he was not given another skin and the Shepherd of Lost Souls seemed lost himself.
A lot happened in the league in the meantime:
- A new client, sandbox mode, replays
- 4! Ryze Reworks
- Ezreal went from ADC to Midlaner and now Jungler
- Even Urgot had a rework beforehand.
- SKT T1 won 3 world championships in between
- Annie got 10 skins
Quite a long time in League of Legends history, but it's about to happen: Arclight Yorick.

Here is a first look at the skin of Riot's Instagram page:
Yorick joins Vayne, Vel'Koz and Varus and their Arclight Skins.
Another new skin on Riot's PBE test server is Beekeeper Singed:
When the new skins will be released is not yet known.
Riot is also currently working on a revision of Xin Zhao.
His new W ability could look like this and does damage in a cone shaped area in front of him and the second blow slows targets:
New W - "Wind Becomes Lightning"
- This is a 2 part flowing attack with his spear that includes a sweeping slash in front of Xin, followed by a long-range thrust.
- Slash - deals damage in a cone in front of Xin.
- Thrust - deals higher damage at long range and slows targets hit for 1.5 seconds.
Its new R also creates a protection zone:
R modified- now called "Crescent Guard"
- Xin Zhao's ultimate is still an instant cast sweeping circle that knocks enemies back and deals damage. The knockback still excludes the last target he dashed to or attacked.
- NEW: For 3 seconds after casting Crescent Guard, Xin Zhao creates a zone around himself and will block damage dealt to him from champions outside of his guard area. The duration of this stance is extended slightly every time Xin Zhao attacks an enemy champion.
However, these changes are not yet 100% safe and can still be changed at any time.
