League of Legends - Cloud 9, as always, NA's last hope

The last quarter-finals on Sunday brought the decision between Team WE (China) and the last remaining NA team Cloud 9. Despite a narrow and disappointing defeat in Game 1, Cloud 9 was able to hold its own and even increase to 2: 1. The unusual singed pick in the top lane paid off.

Game 4 went back to WE and it all boiled down to the last, fifth game. Team WE literally couldn't be stopped with Gnarr (Top), Galio (Mid), as well as Gragas (Jungle) and a Janna as reinforcement. Even Kog'maw as ADC was unassailable with this row of tanks in front of him. Cloud 9 was the last western team to be eliminated and North America has now reached the 7th League of Legends World Championship in a row, not beyond the quarter-finals.

Team WE will meet Samsung Galaxy in the semi-finals and there will be 2 semi-finals between China and Korea. The semifinals will take place on October 28th and 29th instead, SKT T1 starts against Royal Never Give Up. The videos of all previous encounters can be found on Riots YouTube Channel being found.
