The producer of Monster Hunter: World announced the date for the PC version as autumn 2018 in a small video on Twitter. The console version of the game will be released as planned on January 26th, 2018
As Ryozo Tsujimoto reports, work on the PC version is in full swing. In December it was said that work on the PC version should only start after the console release. So Capcom seems to be on schedule a little faster than expected. Still for Monster Hunter: World Fans a long wait. So if you have the option, you will use the console version and go hunting for monsters as early as January.

Even new content such as additional monsters that were not available in the public test is already ready for publication. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners can look forward to enough activity.
Monster Hunter: World - Capcom's first internal PC implementation
The developers explain the reasons for the relatively long waiting time of the PC version with the special optimization that is necessary. In contrast to a simple conversion of the game, which is often associated with a loss of performance, works Capcom on an independent PC version, which should also use the additional possibilities of the hardware. The Xbox One X Variant brought into play for which 4K resolution and HDR should be supported. Of course, Capcom would like to offer such features on the PC as well. Since this is one of the first major implementations for the developers, a number of teething problems are of course to be expected. Accordingly, there is this long pause.
Monster Hunter: World will be released on January 26th, 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the PC version will follow in autumn.
