The new feature for PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is called Event mode and regularly offers players new, changing game content. In this mode the developers can experiment with new ideas and also try out really crazy things.

This means that the Battle Royale experience is kept fresh in the long term thanks to new parameters and changed conditions. The first version of Event Mode is as test thought and kept accordingly simple. Since the system behind it is still brand new, the basic functions should be tried out first.

The first mode is teams of 8 with a double chance of getting rifles / guns on the map. The PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS team emphasizes this mini change only as Starting point and as soon as the system is tested and perfected, the players expect much more exciting events.
For this reason, this first event is only available on the original map Erangelas it also serves as a test for the matchmaking system.
You can reach the new mode via the Event Tab in the user interface. The event should already be active on the servers at the time of this news.
