World of Warcraft - Moon Festival
Here are Blizzard's activities:
All of Azeroth is celebrating the Moon Festival. At the beginning of each year, ancestors from previous generations appear around the world, passing on their knowledge to those who want to listen to them. If you meet these venerable spirits on your travels and take the time to listen to their stories, you may even receive a token of their gratitude from them - coins of the ancestors, the lessons of the past in tangible form. Collect enough Coins from the Ancestors and you can buy festive clothing, fireworks, trinkets and recipes from the Cenarion Circle!
The Cenarion Circle has every reason to celebrate, because during the Moon Festival many ancestors return who fell in battles long past: Goldrinn, Malorne, Aviana and Cenarius himself. But this celebration is marred by the eternal torment of one of their allies - omen , a wolf cream blessed by the moon goddess Elune, has risen from the depths of the lake in the moon clearing. Though once one of the noblest and proudest ancestors, Omen was driven insane by the depraved magic of the Burning Legion in the War of the Ancestors. Omen immortality has doomed him to return to Azeroth in his delusional state every new year. This year he's even more powerful and even poses a major challenge for heroes at level 90. The heroes must quickly alleviate the suffering of the tormented ancestor, in the hope that maybe next year he can return in a better state of mind.
Seasonal Boss: Omen Returns!
The big wolf omen was once a hero of this world. The embodiment of strength and luck, Omen fought alongside the heroes of the War of the Ancestors until he succumbed to demonic magic. He turned against his allies and terrified all of Azeroth. Omen was finally defeated in the moon clearing and now sleeps on the bottom of the lake of Elune'ara. But every year at the beginning of the moon festival he wakes up ...
