According to the developer Rockstar Games, the release of the long-awaited Red Dead Redemption 2 will be postponed to 2018. The second part of the series will be released for Playstation 4 and Xbox One.<\/p>\n

Red Dead Redemption 2 is the first title Rockstar is developing from the ground up for the latest generation of consoles. To adequately implement the epic work and to offer the millions of fans the best possible experience, it simply takes time. To fully utilize all the capabilities of the new generation of consoles, it is necessary to write the code from scratch.<\/p>\n

Rockstar deeply regrets the disappointment caused to fans by the delay. Nonetheless, the developers firmly believe that the decision is the right one in order to deliver a great game.<\/p>\n

The team can definitely be right about this, the expectations of the community are high. Red Dead Redemption 1, released in 2010 for Xbox 360, Xbox One and Playstation 3, was a huge success with over 14 million copies sold.<\/p>\n

The story of Red Dead Redemption 1<\/h2>\n

The open world title is set in 1911, towards the end of the era that went down in history as the Wild West. The player, in the role of the main character John Marston, tries to take out the outlaw Bill Williamson, but fails and remains shot. The prologue ends with his accidental rescue by Bonnie MacFarlane, who finds Marston and takes care of her on her ranch.
\nIn the following main story, more and more of the background is revealed and the player learns that Marston himself was an outlaw. As a gang member, he was part of a failed robbery along with Williamson and was left dying.<\/p>\n

However, Marston survived and settled with his family as a farmer. Until one day an ominous government agency called "Bureau" took his wife and son hostage, forcing Marston to kill his former comrades.<\/p>\n

This is just a glimpse of the epic story that made the game a success. The successor Red Dead Redemption 2 should now repeat this success. And is expected to be released for Xbox One and Playstation 4 in the first half of 2018.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
