As already announced,<\/a> the results of the rankings beta for World of Tanks have arrived.<\/p>\n

The immense number of 208,773 players took up the challenge of the rated matches. 4 phase and 28 days later, the ranking list is fixed and the distribution of the rewards begins.<\/p>\n

    The developers provide detailed information and statistics on the individual tanks their website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    Of course, the final ranking is what interests us most. Since the 208,773 entries would exceed this article slightly, you can find the complete list in the game client of World of Tanks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    The prizes to which the best placed are entitled will be on July 9<\/strong> credited to the corresponding player accounts.<\/p>\n

    Those black sheep that attracted attention through the use of cheats or dishonest games have been removed from the leaderboard and do not receive any rewards. The placement of the honest players who obeyed all the rules are unaffected.<\/p>\n

    Vehicle types:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

    The matchmaker made sure that the difference in artillery, light and tank destroyers was at most one vehicle, but did not mirror the teams in terms of medium or heavy tanks. This often resulted in frustrating scenarios of having a team full of heavy tanks versus a team full of mostly medium tanks. Of course, you had more structure points overall, but the opponents still had the better chances because they were faster and more agile. Such cases have frustrated a lot of players and we want to make sure that this doesn't happen again next season.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Map rotation<\/strong>:<\/em><\/h3>\n

    Our main goal this beta season was to test the core functionality of the mode. The rank-based balance was introduced as an additional rule for the matchmaker: along with the patterns, the number of SPGs and the vehicle types on each side, players of comparable rank should be paired against each other. Including the card rotation here would have led to longer waiting times, deterred players and hindered the test. For the beta season, we've turned off rotation to collect critical data and are now working on bringing it back and minimizing the impact on waiting time.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Progress:<\/strong> <\/em><\/h3>\n

    Ranks should reflect a player's ability (they serve as a mark of personal success, so to speak) and we want to emphasize that even more. We are considering several variants, from adjustments in the number of stripes between the ranks and \/ or the number of ranks to a complete overhaul of the seasonal structure (sections per season, duration). Working your way up to the highest rank should take a lot of skill and time, but the greater the effort, the sweeter the reward!<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
