Together with the patch notes for the next monthly patch, they explain the incidents.<\/p>\n<p>A box &amp; key system has always been planned for PLAYERUNKNOWN&#039;S BATTLEGROUNDS and it was never made a secret that such a system would come after release. Of course, such a feature has to be tested like all other things and the developers use the gamescom boxes for this. Later on, a player-specific economy will develop around boxes and keys, as well as the items inside, such as clothing etc.<\/p>\n<p>For example, something similar came about with the shooter Counterstrike. Likewise, clothing and cosmetic items are to be traded on the Steam marketplace, then PLAYERUNKNOWN&#039;S BATTLEGROUNDS.<\/p>\n<p>The developers of PLAYERUNKNOWN&#039;S BATTLEGROUNDS admit that the communication on this topic was not ideal and apologize for it.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/spielepost.de\/en\/playerunknowns-battlegrounds-lootboxes-and-tournament\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">As we reported<\/a> there are 3 different loot boxes on the occasion of gamescom in Cologne. 2 of them can be opened easily, the third requires a key. This key is only available during gamescom and the proceeds will be used to finance the tournament and charity.<\/p>\n<p>The complete patch notes are as follows:<\/p>\n<h2>PLAYERUNKNOWN&#039;S BATTLEGROUNDS Early Access Month 4 Update<\/h2>\n<p><b>The monthly update will be pushed to the Public Test Server in about 1 hour at 5PM KST \/ 8AM UTC, as we need some extra time to test the new 1st person view before updating the live servers later in the week.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Server optimization<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Optimized fences, doors, and windows<\/li>\n<li>Optimized vehicle physics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Client Optimization<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Optimized memory usage for world objects<\/li>\n<li>Optimized terrain rendering<\/li>\n<li>Optimized vehicle physics<\/li>\n<li>Optimized user interface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>New Items<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Added new weapon Mk14 EBR. Mk14 EBR is a Designated Marksman Rifle that can only be obtained from Carepackages. This weapon is chambered for 7.62mm and sniper rifle attachments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Character<\/b><\/p>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Added two new face presets and hairstyles to character customization for both genders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Gameplay<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Added 1st Person server options to NA and EU Solo and Duo game-modes<\/li>\n<li>Players who choose 1st Person mode will be matched together<\/li>\n<li>Character view is set to 3rd Person mode in starting airplane and during free fall from the airplane. This will be set to 1st Person only in a future update<\/li>\n<li>Camera will stay still while looting items to prevent dizziness<\/li>\n<li>Added a new feature to report players<\/li>\n<li>Some people killed knocked-out teammates in order to avoid giving kill count to an opponent who knocked them down. Now the kill count will still go to the opponent in this specific case.<\/li>\n<li>Added new animation when using different consumables<\/li>\n<li>Improved camera transition when disabling Free look feature (Alt Key)<\/li>\n<li>Decreased the reload time of VSS<\/li>\n<li>Players may now re-enter games if they have been disconnected mid-game<\/li>\n<li>You may now play with Xbox controllers, and we will continue to make improvements with Xbox controllers<\/li>\n<li>Sound volume difference from inside and outside of building is more obvious<\/li>\n<li>Added new sound effect while scoping or aiming weapon<\/li>\n<li>Added new effects when a character is running or sprinting over different types of surfaces<\/li>\n<li>Improved character animation without any weapon or with melee weapon<\/li>\n<li>Added slight delay when using the drag-and-drop feature on items in inventory UI. We implemented this delay to provide a fair gameplay environment to all players<\/li>\n<li>Improved post-process effect when a character takes damage outside of the blue circle<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Items and Vehicles<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Added a lower rail attachment slot to SKS<\/li>\n<li>You may now honk a car horn when sitting in the driver&#039;s seat with Left Mouse Click<\/li>\n<li>Decreased the chance of vehicle explosion after the vehicle gets stuck in objects<\/li>\n<li>Vehicle driving sound will change slightly in FPP and TPP modes<\/li>\n<li>Added new sound effects for motorcycle tire screech while driving<\/li>\n<li>Eliminated firing delay of S1897 from pump action after reload<\/li>\n<li>Improved effects of boats<\/li>\n<li>Added spark effect to flat tires<\/li>\n<li>Reduced cast time of First Aid Kit \/ Painkiller to 6 seconds<\/li>\n<li>Reduced cast time of Med Kit \/ Adrenaline Syringe to 8 seconds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>UI<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"bb_ul\">\n<li>Added more features and hot keys to the Options Menu<\/li>\n<li>Added new option for V-Sync<\/li>\n<li>You may now designate a maximum of two different keys for each key bind<\/li>\n<li>Added new option to set toggle on certain actions and features<\/li>\n<li>You may now use Mouse wheel up \/ down as one of your key binds<\/li>\n<li>Added new keybinds, such as all mute (Ctrl + M) and switching Voice Channel (Ctrl + Y), and a new option to adjust the volume of voice chat<\/li>\n<li>Added new keybinds to use specific throwables<\/li>\n<li>Added colorblind mode<\/li>\n<li>Added an FOV slider for 1st person view<\/li>\n<li>Added some region names to the mini map<\/li>\n<li>Added new option to display helmet, vest, and backpack equipped on HUD UI. This HUD UI will be updated further in the future<\/li>\n<li>Added new option to display all equipped weapons on the right side of the screen.
