The rumors about a PC version of the latest Final Fantasy XV<\/strong> have come true faster than expected. In the video released today on the NVIDIA YouTube Channel, the release is announced for early 2018.<\/p>\n

This is pretty uncharted territory for the legendary Final Fantasy series. Normally, PC gamers had to wait 10 years or more for their beloved role-playing games to be implemented. Final Fantasy XV only just released in November 2016 after years of postponements and revisions. The 15th part in the series was a unique project in which the developers tried to merge different media such as games, comics and a film. In addition to the game, story elements in the form of the film "Final Fantasy XV: Kingsglaive<\/a>\u201cOr webcomics and are woven into a huge story.<\/p>\n

This story about Prince Noctis and his companions will now be able to experience all PC owners in just a few months. The developers at Square Enix, in collaboration with NVIDIA, are exhausting all the possibilities of the new medium. Including 4K high resolution textures, Dolby Atmos sound, NVIDIA turf effects (realistic grass simulation can be seen in the video at 0:57), hair, flammable liquids, fire, smoke simulation, improved shadows and, and, and ...<\/p>\n

The video shows all points in which the game has been improved compared to the console version.<\/p>\n

The Steam Page<\/a> for Final Fantasy XV also reveals that the Windows Edition will offer all bonus content. This includes the previously paid DLCs, in which you could play Prince Nocti's companions in their own adventures. All free updates are of course also included, so that the Windows Edition is also a Game of the Year Edition and you get the complete package.<\/p>\n
