After the patch 9.20 preview for World of Tanks<\/strong> there was lively discussion about the new feature in Random Battles: the Grand Battles.<\/p>\n

World of Tanks - The new Grand Battles are coming with Update 9.20<\/h2>\n

This new experience is intended to loosen up the random battles and provide more variety. Grand battles combine several changes, a larger arena and teams of 30 in the Tier X vehicles. The developers of Wargaming.net ask for the help of the fans to test this new form of combat accordingly:<\/p>\n

\u201cAs part of our commitment to getting you (the players) involved every step of the way, we will be posting the grand battles in a test facility. We invite you to test it extensively and to give us your opinion. This plan allows for multiple iterations so the team can respond to your feedback, make adjustments, and ultimately deliver an experience that resonates with most of the community. "<\/em><\/p>\n

You can take part in the 30 versus 30 battles if you have at least one vehicle of the highest tier. As soon as Patch 9.2 is playable on the servers, all players with a Tier X tank have a 10% chance to get into a major battle. Since the sheer mass of vehicles in large battles can lead to FPS problems on weaker computers, the large battles are deactivated by default on these computers.<\/p>\n

If you still want to take part, you have to change the option in the settings.<\/p>\n

There is also a special map for the grand battles - Nebelburg. With a size of 1.4 X 1.4 km, it is specially designed for 60 players. Here is the official description:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe central area, dominated by a hill, is well suited for scouts. Heavy steam hammers and tank destroyers can use the buildings and streets of the western city to their advantage in close combat. The hilly area in the east offers more than enough tactical possibilities for medium tanks and other mobile vehicles, which can take advantage of the hilltops with strong turret armor and good aiming range. "<\/em><\/p>\n

Extra rewards<\/h2>\n

Much enemy = Much honor. This formula is followed by the rewards for completed major battles, in addition to EP and credit points, there are even bonds here. To qualify for it, you need at least 400 earned XP in this battle. Premium XP and bonuses do not count.<\/p>\n
