The time has come, Mass Effect: Andromeda developer Bioware today released the launch trailer for the fourth part of the legendary game series. After we have been sweetened the last few weeks with 3 parts of the Gameplay Series and other trailers, there are now only a few days until the release on March 23rd.<\/p>\n
Mass Effect: Andromeda starts with the choice of the main character between the twins Scott and Sarah Ryder. This also makes the gender decision that has an impact on possible relationships. Nonetheless, you are free to choose your first name and appearance, the game even adapts the appearance of your father to the choice of the player. Unlike in previous parts, you are not limited to the choice of 6 classes, but have a free choice which skills you choose and improve.<\/p>\n
You explore the Andromeda Galaxy on board your spaceship, the "Tempest". Planets offer an open world environment that can be explored with the Nomad vehicle. During a planetary excursion despite the sometimes hostile environments while scanning for raw materials in order to mine them with mine drones.<\/p>\n
Unlike earlier games in the series, combat is no longer pause, everything happens in real time. During the battle you control your character freely and maneuver the terrain with various skills such as a jetpack. If you approach objects such as walls, you automatically take cover and use the surroundings as protection.<\/p>\n
The original trilogy centered around the elite soldier Commander Shephard who defended the civilizations of the galaxy against the Reaper. The decisions made are unfortunately not transferred and there is also no reference to the events at the end of Part 3. So it remains unclear which of the possible ends is considered official by the developer.<\/p>\n
Mass Effect: Andromeda begins in the year 2185, settled between part 2 and 3. The four Citadel races are pursuing the plan to populate the Andromeda galaxy and each send a ship called "Ark" with 20,000 settlers on its way. Once in Andromeda, they are supposed to build the Nexus together, a huge space station intended as the center of government and diplomacy. The Nexus also serves as the main headquarters for the Pathfinder. Hundreds of years later, the Pathfinder Alec Ryder is looking for a new home for the 4 races, while his twins are initially inexperienced recruits.<\/p>\n
