Matching the Oktoberfest, two teams compete against each other in Hearthstone and let it rip in the inn. Both teams consist of well-known Hearthstone players and Blizzard & Twitch let them compete against each other weekly.<\/p>\n

The crux of the matter is that all participants have a brand new account and therefore only have a few cards. The players receive 10 classic card packages as an introduction and every Monday 10 of the corresponding expansion. Here is the timetable:<\/p>\n

WILD WEEK - September 11th to 15th<\/strong>
\nPacks of the week: 10 packs each Goblins versus Gnomes<\/em> and The big tournament<\/em><\/p>\n

KRAKEN WEEK - September 18-22<\/strong>
\nPacks of the week: 10 packs each The whispers of the old gods<\/em> and The streets of Gadgetzan<\/em><\/p>\n

MAMMOTH WEEK - September 25th to 29th<\/strong>
\nPacks of the week: 10 packs each Journey to Un'Goro<\/em> and Knight of the Frozen Throne<\/em><\/p>\n

ADVENTURE WEEK - October 2-6<\/strong>
\nPack of the week: surprise!<\/p>\n

Finale at TwitchCon - October 21st<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition, players receive additional card packs every Wednesday. This is where the fans come in. Twitch Prime owners will receive 2 special card backs from September 11th to October 10th: Call of the Void and Call of Light.<\/p>\n

If you don't have Twitch Prime yet, you can get this easily by linking your Twitch account to your Amazon Prime account. Amazon Prime is available with a free trial month, so you can only register for this event at no additional cost.<\/p>\n

The special thing about these card backs is that you have won ranked games while wearing the card back of your favorite team, giving them more chances for additional card packages.<\/p>\n

All games will be broadcast live, you can also be there when you open the new card packs and assemble the decks. Here are the official rules of the Hearthstone October Brawl:<\/p>\n

Every single player of the two Oktoberbrawl teams receives a brand new account, 10 classic card packs and a welcome package. During the October brawl each player receives 10 card packs from two different expansions every Monday. On Wednesday of each week, each player receives a proportionate number of packs of cards, depending on how often players have won with the card back of the respective team in rated mode. Each week ends with a match between the two teams that we broadcast live on our official Hearthstone Twitch channel.<\/em><\/p>\n

Oktoberbrawl accounts may only be played during a live stream on Twitch. The players of the Oktoberbrawl teams can earn gold with self-built decks and through quests and buy card packs with it. However, you may not purchase packs in any other way. Free access to the arena may be used. However, additional access to the arena may not be acquired elsewhere. Players are not allowed to disenchant cards and can only complete the "Challenge a Friend" quest for 80 gold with one of their team members.<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
