The next phase of the preliminary round \/ playin the League of Legends<\/strong> World Championship was this morning from the match Cloud9 <\/strong>against Lyon Gaming<\/strong> heralded.<\/p>\n

League of Legends - Cloud 9 versus Lyon Gaming<\/h2>\n

To the delight of American fans, start Cloud9<\/strong> really strong in the day and defeated Lyon Gaming 3-0 in 3 games.<\/p>\n

The first game was pretty much over in 24 minutes. Game 2 was 61 minutes long, hard-fought and you could tell that Lyon Gaming was fighting the defeat with all their might, but they couldn't find a way to win the game. The decision was made, as is so often the case with the fight for the baron, Cloud9 was under time pressure as superminions were demolishing their base and only one tower was left in front of the nexus. Thanks to a triple kill from ADC Sneaky on Xayha<\/strong> and the resulting Ace, the game was then decided for Cloud 9-<\/p>\n

With the resulting 2-0 deficit, Lyon Gaming seemed broken, in the Pick & Ban phase they even allowed Cloud 9 to choose the strong botlane combo Twitch + Janna. Accordingly, the game was one-sided, with 14 to 2 kills, Cloud9 finished the third game in just 27 minutes and thus progressed one round.<\/p>\n

League of Legends - Fnatic versus Hong Kong Attitude<\/h2>\n

The second encounter of the day between Fnatic<\/strong> and Hong Kong Attitude<\/strong> seemed to promise more action. Hong Kong Attitude got better and better towards the end of the group stage, while Fnatic had won their group but not dominated.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, or fortunately for Fnatic fans, the 3 matches were pretty one-sided.<\/p>\n

Game 1 saw a strong Fnatic Midlaner Caps on Cassiopeia, who never allowed the opposing Kassadin to really get going. Game 2 looked even clearer. 15 kills for Fnatic versus 3 for Hong Kong Attitude sealed a quick end in just 29 minutes.<\/p>\n

In the third and decisive stage, the fans could look forward to a much more aggressive HKA team, but unfortunately Fnatic proved to be stronger again. Fnatic Caps with his 12-2-8 Taliyah played no small part in this.<\/p>\n

Only 2 more matches in the preliminary round<\/h2>\n

Cloud 9 and Fantic are the 13th and 14th teams that have qualified for the main round of the League of Legends World Championship. Tomorrow after the meetings of 1907 Fenerbah\u00e7e<\/strong> against Team oNe Esports<\/strong> and Team WE<\/strong> against Young generation<\/strong> the decision about the last two places will have been made.
