After the announcement of the next World of Warcraft<\/strong> Extension Battle for Azeroth<\/strong> there was still a lot of information about planned changes. One that stands out is the abolition of the PvP \/ PvE server separation.<\/p>\n

So far you had to choose between Player vs. Player<\/strong>, so servers on which you have to expect attacks from other players at any time and PvE servers decide. On PvE - Player versus Environment<\/strong>- Servers are safe from other players as long as you don't consciously decide to turn on PvP or enter a battlefield.<\/p>\n

The rules of PvP haven't really changed since 2005, but the world of Azeroth has. The number of players alone, which in some cases has fallen from 12 million + to 5-7 million (Blizzard has not revealed exact numbers for some time), ensure that the server populations are extremely different. Some players are stuck on PvP servers that don't have enough players for World PvP. There are also many servers with extreme imbalances between the factions, with 80% population for one side, the experience in World PvP is quite one-sided.<\/p>\n

World of Warcraft - PvP as an individual choice<\/h2>\n

With the expansion, there will no longer be separate servers, but each player can decide individually whether he activates PvP or not. This choice can be changed in a city. This means that players will have much more choice when choosing a server in the future.<\/p>\n

The changes also open up new options for Blizzard in feature development. As examples were Bounties <\/strong>or Assassination quests<\/strong> called.<\/p>\n

To encourage players to PvP there should be experience or reputation bonuses if you have activated PvP Questet.<\/p>\n
