But a staff change gives the fans new hope. With Shawn Elliott<\/strong> one of the leading figures in BioShock Infinite design returns to the Publisher 2K<\/strong>where he's working on a previously secret project.<\/p>\n

BioShock - Level Designer returns as Combat Designer<\/h2>\n

This information is based on its recently updated LinkedIn<\/a> Profile where the previous employer switched from Arkane Studios to 2K. The position there is \u201cPrinciple Combat Designer\u201d, roughly the designer of the combat system.<\/p>\n

After a job posting for BioShock franchise<\/strong> at 2K, which fueled the rumor mill a few months ago, the return of Shawn Elliott makes fans' hearts beat faster.<\/p>\n

5 years have passed since the last part of the cult series was published. Bioshock Infinite<\/strong> provided a somewhat controversial story with alternative timelines and parallel worlds that was not to everyone's taste. However, almost all players and critics agreed that the main characters Booker DeWitt<\/strong> (voiced by Troy Baker) and Elizabeth<\/strong> (Courtnee Draper) made the game a great experience. The DLCs in particular were hardly lacking in emotionality and brought the game to a conciliatory conclusion.<\/p>\n

For a possible new installment in the series, however, new main characters can be expected, as the story of Book DeWitt is definitely over.
