In einem Bluepost hat Nevalistis, einer der amerikanischen Community Manager, verkündet dass es auf der diesjährigen Blizzcon keine Diablo 3 Neuigkeiten geben wird.
Keine neuen Diablo 3 Ankündigungen auf absehbare Zeit
Nachdem im letzten Jahr nur das relativ kleine Totenbeschwörer DLC erschien, hatten Fans auf eine mögliche Diablo 4 Ankündigung gehofft. Bereits vor der Blizzcon 2016 gab es Theorien, ob es nicht langsam Zeit würde für einen Nachfolger.
Diablo 3 erhält zwar immer noch regelmäßig Updates zu Beginn jeder neuen Saison, ist aber ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Seit der Veröffentlichung 2012 sind immerhin 5 Jahre vergangen. Inzwischen gab es zwar die Reaper of Souls Erweiterung, seitdem herrschte aber eine lange Ruhepause. Konkurrenz Spiele wie Path of Exile haben in der Zwischenzeit eine Vielzahl an neuen Inhalten erhalten.
Den Hunger nach neuen Inhalten konnte, aber auch das Mini DLC mit der Beschwörer Klasse nicht stillen. Die Foren sind regelmäßig voll mit Vorschlägen und Spekulationen über ein eventuelles Diablo 4 oder eine weitere große Erweiterung.
Jegliche Hoffnung auf solche Ankündigungen während der Blizzcon 2017 sind damit wohl gestorben. Nichtsdestotrotz gibt es auch dieses Jahr ein für Diablo 3 Spieler ein Goodie für Besucher der Blizzcon oder Käufer des virtuellen Tickets.

BlizzCon draws near, and we wanted to give you an update about Diablo’s presence at the show. Last year at BlizzCon, we kicked off Diablo’s 20th anniversary by announcing the old-school cathedral dungeon (if you missed that the first time around, it’s coming back in January) and unveiling Rise of the Necromancer. This year, we want to give you a heads-up that while Diablo will be on the show floor, we won’t be making any new Diablo announcements. There will be a time for that at some point in the future, but that time is not now.
However, in addition to the special BlizzCon Diablo III in-game reward, we’ll also have Diablo panels for attendees and Virtual Ticket holders, and, as always, we look forward to a weekend filled with fun and revelry with the heroes who call Sanctuary home.
Patch 2.6.1 is on the horizon. Looking beyond that, we’re hard at work on the future of Diablo and exploring what’s next for the franchise. Please be patient. Our passion for Sanctuary burns as bright as the High Heavens and as hot as the Burning Hells—and we’re excited to hunker down and get working!
