Horizon Forbidden West available for pre-order
There are several options for fans of the franchise to take advantage of. There is a Digital Deluxe Edition, a Special Edition, a Collector's Edition and a Regalla Edition.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes both the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game, two special outfits, two special weapons, an in-game resource pack, an in-game Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike Piece, an exclusive photo mode pose and face paint, a digital artbook, a digital soundtrack, and a digital version of The Sunhawk, a Horizon Zero Dawn graphic novel. The price for this edition is 79.99 $ for PS5 and 69.99 $ for PS4.
The Special Edition
The Special Edition includes a SteelBook with a physical disc copy for PS4 or PS5, and also includes a digital soundtrack and mini artbook. None of the in-game items are included in this pre-order collection and there are limited quantities available for purchase. The price for this edition is 79.99 $.
The Collector's Edition includes all the in-game goodies that are also included in the Deluxe Edition, but with some additional physical items. The package comes in a SteelBook display case and includes a custom Tremortusk and Aloy statue, as well as the Special Edition mini artbook. However, a physical copy of the game is not included in this edition. Copies of the game are distributed through a voucher in the box. The price for this edition is $199.99.
The final and most comprehensive option is the Regalla Edition. It includes everything that is included in the Collector's Edition, except that the custom statues of Tremortusk and Aloy look different and more magnificent. Included are two art print cards, replicas of Sunwing and Clawstrider Machine Physical Strike Pieces, and a canvas card. There is still no physical copy of the game to be found here, so fans who want the Regalla and Collector's Editions but also want a physical copy of the game will have to buy them separately. The price for this edition is $259.99.
It may take some time for pre-orders for the physical editions to show up on websites around the globe, but when they do become available, there will be a limited number available for purchase.
The Horizon franchise
The Horizon franchise has been very successful and fans are eagerly waiting for the next chapter of Aloy's story. However, players will have to be patient for a bit, as the game won't be released until next year. But fans hope that the wait will be worth it, because the game offers so many advantages that it is worth the wait.
The PlayStation Showcase for 2021 will take place on September 9, Sony announced today. It will give fans a glimpse into the future of the PS5, as well as updates from PlayStation Studios and developers on the latest games coming soon.
The showcase will begin at 3 p.m. CT and will be broadcast for about 40 minutes. PlayStation VR will not be featured, but the broadcast will give fans a look at what's coming soon to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles.
Fans can look forward to the premiere of new games and updates to previously announced games. Most of the featured games will be released around Christmas time and in 2022.
Sony has hinted that there may be an after-show. It has urged fans to stick around after the presentation to get more updates from the studio groups featured in the presentation. That's good for fans of certain franchises they may be anticipating, including a possible reveal of Final Fantasy 16, new looks at the Horizon Zero Dawn sequel, and more.
This is the first time Sony has announced news about its games and consoles since the State of Play presentation earlier this year. Fans waiting to hear about their favorite PlayStation exclusive might get their money's worth at the presentation.
