The 5th Leaderboard Season for Blizzards Overwatch has begun. There is also a first video about the next new card.
Overwatch - Season 5
Anyone who has always wanted to really exhaust their skills and fight for victory in competition with opponents of equal strength will find their place in the new ranking season.
After reaching level 25, the ranked matches are unlocked and you can fight for your place in the league. In contrast to quick search and arcade battles, things are a little more committed here and everyone does their best to win. You can participate either alone or as a team with your friends. Overwatch's automatic assignment then searches for the most suitable opponents who match your skills.
For completing the first 10 matches that enable your first placement, you will receive a special spray and a player icon as a reward. Each ranking match also gives you points for the ranking. With the points you can receive gold versions of their weapons for your favorite heroes.
Season 5 has now started and can be played on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The new map: Horizon Lunar Colony
The base on the moon is home to Winston. He grew up there along with other monkeys as part of the experiments. The other monkeys rebelled against the experiments one day and there was a fight and destruction. Winston escaped to Earth then, but the others are still there and one day someone will have to return to the Lunar Colony.
That someone you will be and the time is soon. On the new Assault map you have to compete against an opposing team and regain control of the facility. In the meantime you will hopefully find clues about the whereabouts of the crew who stayed behind. Information about when the new map will be published is not yet available. However, the PTR is already open with the new card.
