Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - E3 Video

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

E3 is imminent and another preview video flutters into our YouTube mailbox. This time it's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the new game from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Inventors Koji Igarashi.

Koji Igarashi, the producer of countless Castlevania titles, started the Kickstarter campaign for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night after leaving Konami. Given his fame in the scene, it was no wonder how quickly the support came and the game was financed. Over $ 5.5 million was raised in the end and all Stretchgoalds were met.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night - Spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night

At that time it was announced for March 2017, hopefully a more specific release date will now come at E3. The delay is partly explained by the transition from a Wii U version to the modern Nintendo Switch. At the time of the crowdfunding campaign, the Wii U was still up-to-date, in the course of hardware development the developers are now increasingly relying on the new switch.

Although there is no Castlevania in the name, Bloodstained is a typical representative of the genre. Thanks to Igarashi's influence, it can be considered the spiritual successor to Symphony of the Night.

In the form of Miriam, an orphan who is affected by a curse, we jump and slam our way through a demon-infested castle. There we look for Gebel, who suffered from the same curse.

We find equipment and new skills that in turn allow us access to new areas. Walls that used to be too high can suddenly be overcome with a double saying and suddenly a huge new section is open to us.

The video shows us some scenes including part of a boss fight. In addition, the judges memory whip also finds its place in our arsenal.

Hopefully more information will be available at the E3 fair in Los Angeles, the video can be found at the beginning of the article.

Whose addiction to Metroidvania games has now been awakened and is looking for a job until the release of Bloodstained, maybe he should check out Hollow Knight. Have fun!
