With the Rift Rivals tournament we are facing the great comparison between North America and Europe in League of Legends. The new date for the duel of nations is from July 5th to 8th, 2017.

The 3 best teams from NA and EU will meet in Berlin. For Europe: Team G2 Esports, Unicorns of Love and Fnatic.

Your North American counterparties consist of: Team SoloMid, Cloud9 and Phoenix1.

After the first announcement of the format in May, the community made a lot of suggestions for improvement, especially the lack of a longer series (Best of 3 or Best of 5) between the NA and EU teams was missing. Riot responded to the fan criticism and the wishes of the professionals directly and is now presenting the changed format.

This leads to the introduction of a best of 1 group phase, with double everyone against everyone. The whole thing is then crowned with a Best of 5 final between the best teams in each region, based on the results of the group stage. As a result, the event now lasts 4 days, 3 days in the group stage and one day for the grand finale.

If you want to be there live, you can secure your tickets from June 23 at 5 p.m. CEST. A ticket costs 15 € and you can buy up to 4 tickets per transaction.

The tournament will take place in the EU LCS Studios in Berlin and will be commented on in English. Of course there will hopefully be an opportunity for photos with the teams between the matches, Riot will announce even more details in the next few weeks.
