League of Legends - Teams and dates for the World Cup

Meanwhile, most regions have their own individual League of Legends Leagues completed and the majority of the teams for the World Cup are determined.

Only the third team for LCS EU and LCS NA is missing and this decision will be made this weekend. The regional elimination tournaments run daily from Friday to Sunday and offer the teams the last chance to participate in the World Cup in Wuhan.

The League of Legends World Cup 2017 draw

As soon as the last 2 teams have been determined, on Tuesday, September 12th. the drawing of the preliminary round and group stage will take place. Due to the fact that more teams take part this year, there is an additional preliminary round and thus also 2 draws.

First the preliminary round draw for the teams that have to prevail there first to get into the group stage. This is followed by the drawing of the groups for the group phase for the 12 teams have already been determined and the remaining 4 teams qualify via the preliminary round.
