Day 2 of the preliminary round for the League of Legends World Championship is over and the first teams can look forward to qualifying for the 2nd round. About the Results from day 1 we reported yesterday.

Results from group A:
Won in the first group Team WE the matches against Lyon Gaming and Gambit Esports and reached the next round as group winners 4-0.
Lyon Gaming finished the day 2: 2 and thus also qualified for the 2nd round.
The crowd's favorite Gambit Esports, to which many fans had been looking forward, could not record a victory despite the old Moscow 5 aggression and unfortunately retired 0: 4 from the League of Legends World Championship.
Results from group B:
In the first game of the day, the American LCS won Team Cloud9 with a win over Team oNe Esports ensure progress. With a win / lose ratio of 3: 0 nothing could happen to them. After the 2nd match of the day for Cloud 9 against the Dire Wolves Even the group win with 4-0 was certain.
Second place in the group was then in a tie breaker game between Dire Wolves and Team oNe Esports decided. Team oNe Esports was able to prevail in a short, but hard-fought match and thus reach the 2nd round.

Day 3 and 4 of the League of Legends World Championship Preliminary Round
Tomorrow at 7:00 a.m. CEST the seriousness of the tournament will begin for groups C and D and the European team will also start Fnatic in the competition.
Just like in groups A and B, we have 2 days in which each team plays twice against everyone else. Here, too, the 2 top teams in each group qualify for the 2nd round. In each of the first-placed teams compete against a second-placed team and fight for entry into the main group phase of the world championship. These matches are in the format Bo5, Best of 5 played, so the first team to win 3 out of 5 possible games, reaches the next round.
