PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - New desert map

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS gets a new map for exciting Battle Royale matches, which this time is set in a desert. The pcgamer colleagues were allowed to take a first look at the map and brought some information and screenshots with them.

Battle Royale in one desert? Where can you find weapons or cover? Sounds pretty boring.

Of course, the new, previously unnamed, map is not a slab of sand, but rather houses, withered trees, hills and a lot of cacti. So there are enough opportunities for cover and exciting duels. The inspiration for the environment was Mexico rather than the Gobi desert.

Accordingly, the players even stumble across a motley one Wrestling arena for hand-to-hand combat, at least until the first spoiler comes by with a weapon.

PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Through the desert by motorcycle

According to the developer, the different terrain of the area should even influence the Driving characteristics of the vehicles to have. Depending on whether you drive through sand or rocky terrain, the cars and motorcycles will behave and feel differently. The card is like Erangel, this is the name of the previous map, big enough for a few cities or villages. There is even space for 3 meteorite craters on the bottom of which there are buildings. Those who dare to look for prey down there will of course be presented on the presentation plate for all enemies who have a clear field of fire up at the crater rim.

Conversely, should the blue final circle end exactly on such a crater, whoever can barricade himself down first has an enormous advantage.

The improved climbing / jumping system from PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS the testers were able to try it out on the occasion. According to the first information, it is now noticeably more fluid and elegant to jump over fences or through windows.

The map is still in development and will be optimized and improved accordingly until it is available for matches on the live servers. Unfortunately, there is no exact date when the new card will be ready. PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is currently still in Early Access and is available on Steam.
