World of Warcraft - New Notes on Expansion

World of Warcraft

BlizzCon 2017 is just around the corner and a patch for the World of Warcraft Test server with version number 8 provides hope for an expansion announcement.

The update with the number 8.0.0.25338 has already been withdrawn and is no longer active on the test server. For the fans, however, a clear sign that the next expansion for Blizzard's World of Warcraft MMORPG will be presented at BlizzCon.

The last expansion "Legion" appeared over a year ago on August 30, 2016 and after Blizzard's accelerated plans there should now be annual intervals between the expansions.

These schedules could never be kept, however, the next expansion would really already be presented and playable at BlizzCon. Then there could be a publication this year.

World of Warcraft - Legion

In Legion, players fought and defeated the Burning Legion, which roamed the universe and wreaked havoc on all inhabited worlds. One of the last patches then brought a portal Argus, the home planet of the Legion. Thus the fight against the Legion could be actively taken up for the first time. With the portals on Argus, the Legion invading forces were fought in every possible arena.

Unfortunately, so far there are no indications in which direction the story of the next expansion could go. Fortunately, the time until the Blizzcon is not very long. Then we will receive new and hopefully more detailed information at the latest.

BlizzCon 2017 will take place on November 4th and 5th in Anaheim, USA and is Blizzard's own convention. This will show news about all of their franchises such as Overwatch, Hearthstone or Heroes of the Storm.
