A single tweet caused excitement in the gamer community, in which developer Crystal Dynamics teasers with a quote and photo Legacy of Cain, a possible sequel or remake.

Legacy of Kain - a legendary series of games

Legacy of Kain is a game series that was released between 1996 and 2003 for all common platforms at the time. The action adventure takes place in the world of Nosgoth and is about the fight between humans and vampires. The players control the vampire lord Kain who took care of the balance of the world. Despite the biblical name, Nosgoth is a purely fictional world and has a rather deep, independent background story.

Cain himself is a murdered nobleman who was turned into a vampire and strived to get rid of the vampire curse. But later finds pleasure in his new powers and even tries to help the vampires to rule. In the course of the story he learns that he should sacrifice himself to restore the balance of forces, but decides against this task of the gods and continues to fight for power. Later he “creates” himself with one of his sons Raziel, his worst enemy who became the second main character in the series.

There were a total of 5 parts of the series and the story is accordingly extensive. The fans have been waiting for a sequel for years and now it could finally happen. For many players, those beat Dark Souls More recently, play in a similar notch: action adventure + perishing / ruined world + main character who is not morally "good".

But you can argue about what you can't argue about is the fact that we are expecting a new edition of a legendary series and Crystal Dynamics announce new information as soon as possible.
