The developers of the RPG hit of the year Divinity: Original Sin 2 Larian Studios announced a surprise on Twitter.
We've heard a rumor that something wicked is coming ... pic.twitter.com/3r0rAlGHhE

A not quite fresh apple and the text "We heard the rumor that something malicious / mischievous is on the way ...". So very likely a reference to Halloween. The apple also seems to glow blue from the inside and probably contains the surprise.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Halloween Event? Apple version? Extension?
It will be a Halloween Event how many games does it offer this time of year? Maybe the same with disguised NPCs and pumpkins in the game world, for example in World of Warcraft or Overwatch? On the other hand, Divinity: Original Sin 2 already offers Skeletons as a game character getting a lot creepier could be hard.
Maybe that is Apple (apple) Literally meant and the game is implemented and published for Apple computers. Some fans already speculate with a distant phonetic similarity of the English sentence, from which one could hear Switch, so maybe the port to the Nintendo Switch console.
The announcement of a DLC or an expansion could also be hidden behind the tweet.
Hopefully we will soon find out what the Belgian developer studio was thinking, October 31st and Halloween are not far off.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is a turn-based role-playing game that was released on September 14th and exceeded all sales expectations.
