Even when it comes to Diablo 3 has become quite quiet, some programmers and developers at Blizzard are still working on the action RPG hit. In addition to the seasons every 3 months, there is now the request to test new server optimizations on the test server.
So the developers ask to play on the Extra PTR, which went online on January 16, and to load as much as possible. The developers hope to get error reports when opening or joining a Multiplayer game and when communicating about the Chat.

Anyone can take part, regardless of the level, etc. You can even copy your "normal" characters onto the PTR. However, there is no new content to test, it is all about server load. Accordingly, only the bug report forum is open.
Some might ask: Why should I do this? There is a special buff on the test server that gives the chance to legendary items around 2000% elevated. So you are showered with loot practically every 2 steps and equipping a character is done in a few hours. Not to mention the loot explosion if you catch a horde of treasure goblins with the buff. So if you've always wanted to try out a different class, but don't farm equipment for days, you can do it in record time.
Of course, the characters created on the PTR or the duplicates of your characters cannot be transferred back to the normal servers.

“We are working on some optimizations behind the scenes. Since some of them carry some risk, we need your help testing them before we upload them to the live servers!
From today, January 16, you can be part of a special PTR with these optimizations. We particularly hope for reports of errors that occur when players try to join or open a multiplayer game, or when communicating with other players through the game chat.

Some important notes:
There is no new content on this PTR.
However, you will be able to copy your existing characters to the test realm and we will also increase the chance of finding legendary items by 2000 % to sweeten your participation a little.
As a reminder, any progress you make on the public test realm will not be carried over to the live account.
Since this PTR is only about finding bugs on the topics mentioned above and fixing them, we will only open the Bug Report forum during the test phase.
On the public test realm, there may be fluctuations in server performance during the test phase.
This PTR is only available for a limited time and we are very grateful for your help with testing, as we want to complete the test phase as quickly as possible and with as many participants as possible!
